A sprinkler test, if ordered, is performed at the time of the home inspection. The system is run for approximately 30 minutes. The heads are individually checked for functionality, leaks, adequate water pressure, coverage and distorted spray patterns. We also check to verify presence of backflow prevention devices. This is not included in the structural/mechanical inspection. This is not part of the Standards & Practices through the Texas Real Estate Commission.
